Oyster Fest: bivalve event of the year

Oyster Fest: bivalve event of the year

On Saturday October 1st, 2016, come celebrate Nova Scotia oysters, local wine, spirits, and craft beer on the beautiful Halifax Waterfront during this one-day festival. October is prime time for Nova Scotia’s rich oyster harvest. The quality of the Nova Scotia oyster is ranked among the best in the world but at home we often forget to herald it’s popularity and heritage.

There are 2 sessions, each 3 hours long. Ticket purchase includes all-you-can-eat oysters and a sample of Benjamin Bridge’s Nova 7. Wine and craft beer samples will also be available for purchase.

Watch the Gahan House Harbour-front stage where the amateurs and pros alike will compete for prize money in oyster shucking competitions.

Event is rain or shine. Wear your rubber boots, pull on a sweater, roll up your sleeves and come party like real Nova Scotians.
