Believe it or not, there's more to the Halifax Oyster Festival than the world's best oysters. We've also got outstanding entertainment planned for you across all three sessions. Here's the lineup:

During the Friday night session, we are welcoming to the stage the city’s favourite band, The Mellotones! (Check the photo up top 👆) They will be playing two sets starting at 8pm, so be prepared for the festival to turn into a dance party.

Saturday afternoon features two treats—Geoff Kennedy and the amateur division of the Nova Scotia Oyster Shucking Championship. Competitive shucking is a high-energy spectator sport, and it's loads of fun to cheer on the contestants as they race to cleanly open a dozen oysters. And Geoff Kennedy is an amazing musician and compelling performer whose solo show is a favourite around the Maritimes. Geoff will be on stage playing an acoustic set in between rounds of the shucking competition.

SATURDAY NIGHT // Shucking finals

And finally, Saturday night we will be hosting the finals of the 6th annual Nova Scotia Oyster Shucking Championship, where professional shuckers from far and wide—plus the best of the afternoon's amateurs—take part in a thrilling contest for a $500 cash prize and rights to the John Bil memorial trophy!
