What’s new at the 2018 festival?

-More oyster farms! We have 20+ registered oyster farms and depending on water temperature at the time of harvest and CFIA clearance, all should be onsite at the Halifax Oyster Festival.

-GIANT oysters, you know, the BIG ONES, that intimidate most of us but are the “pearl” for others, will be served at an extra cost. These mothers will test the most adventuresome of eaters.

-A live band will join us on the Friday and Saturday nights. Stay tuned for an announcement.

-We have partnered with the Back Bay Oyster Board folks who have created a great tool to help the amateur and novice shucking. They will be on site with a shucking school, offering lessons on how to find the hinge!

-Children up to the age of 2 are allowed on site without a ticket. All other attendees must have a ticket to enter the festival.
